What is a vocation?

A vocation is a call from God to live a specific way of life, whether that be as a consecrated religious person, within the sacrament of marrage, or as a single person.

A vocation is characterised by a deep sense of being called, and feeling of restlessness until a person discerns what they are being called to do. It can be confusing and challenging when someone first feels this Call, but also brings great beauty, peace and purpose to one's life. Everyone has a vocation, and hopefully this page will help you to open yourself up to allow Christ to guide you in your discernment journey.
